How to file a claim for a device

 

You must be the Account Owner or Account Manager to file a claim, which requires your NextGen Communications Account PIN or last 4 digits of your social security number.

You may file a claim with Asurion, our selected provider for device insurance, warranty & support, if your device is lost, stolen or damaged.

Some devices may qualify for cracked screen repair.  If your device is eligible, you'll have the option to select screen repair during the claims process. Then, you can choose to visit a local repair location or have a tech come to you.

A non-refundable deductible applies to each claim. Check your deductible.  The maximum allowed value per claim is $2,500.

You may file a claim on by calling assurion at (888) 881-2622 or on Asurion’s website at https://www.asurion.com/claims/nextgencommunications.  You may also file a claim through the My NextGen app.

 

To file a claim through My NextGen app:
  1. Log into your My NextGen App
  2. Click on the Menu icon in the top right corner.
  3. Select Devices.
  4. Scroll to the device that is lost, stolen or damaged and click on Manage device.
  5. Click on Start a claim.
  6. Enter the requested information and follow the onscreen prompts to finish filing your claim:
    • Device brand
    • Device model
    • Device ID
    • Date device was lost, stolen or damaged
    • If your device is damaged, a picture of the damaged device

 

Upon submitting your claim, you will receive via email a link to track the status of your claim.
